Agriculture Code § 74.126","heading":"PENALTIES.","body":"(a) A person who violates this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter or who alters, forges, counterfeits, or uses without authority a certificate, permit, or other document issued under this subchapter or under a rule adopted under this subchapter commits an offense.\n(b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.\n(c) If the commissioner determines that a violation of this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter has occurred, the commissioner may request that the attorney general or the county or district attorney of the county in which the alleged violation occurred or is occurring file suit for civil, injunctive, and/or other appropriate relief.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 8, Sec. 1, eff.
