Alcoholic Beverage Code § 61.314","heading":"PROTEST BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL.","body":"(a) The following persons may protest an application for an alcoholic beverage license:\n(1) the state senator, state representative, county commissioner, and city council member who represent the area in which the premises sought to be licensed are located;\n(2) the commissioners court of the county in which the premises sought to be licensed are located;\n(3) the county judge of the county in which the premises sought to be licensed are located;\n(4) the sheriff or county or district attorney of the county in which the premises sought to be licensed are located;\n(5) the mayor of the city or town in which the premises sought to be licensed are located; and\n(6) the chief of police, city marshal, or city attorney of the city or town in which the premises sought to be permitted are located.\n(b) The commission may give due consideration to the recommendations of a person listed under Subsection (a) when evaluating an application for a license under this code.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1359 (H.B. 1545), Sec. 172, eff.
