Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 114.0001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Commercial lodging establishment\" means a hotel, motel, inn, or similar business entity that offers more than 10 rooms to the public for temporary lodging for a fee.\n(2) \"Human trafficking\" means conduct that constitutes an offense under Section 20A.02, Penal Code.\n(3) \"Operator\" means a person who owns, operates, manages, or controls a business entity.\n(4) \"Peace officer\" means a peace officer described by Article 2A.001, Code of Criminal Procedure, appointed or employed to serve as a peace officer for a law enforcement agency.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 47 (H.B. 390), Sec. 1, eff.
