Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 16.058","heading":"CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION.","body":"(a) If the application complies with the requirements of this chapter, the secretary of state shall cause a certificate of registration to be issued and delivered to the applicant.\n(b) The certificate of registration must:\n(1) be signed by the secretary of state;\n(2) be issued under the secretary of state's official seal;\n(3) indicate the name and business address of the person claiming ownership of the mark;\n(4) if the applicant is a corporation, indicate the state under whose laws the applicant was incorporated or organized;\n(5) if the applicant is a partnership, indicate the state under whose laws the partnership was organized and the names of the general partners;\n(6) include a description of the goods or services on or in connection with which the mark is being used;\n(7) state the class of the goods or services;\n(8) state the date claimed for the first use of the mark anywhere;\n(9) state the date claimed for the first use of the mark in this state;\n(10) show a reproduction of the mark;\n(11) state the registration date; and\n(12) state the term of the registration.\nAmended by:\nActs 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 563 (H.B. 3141), Sec. 1, eff.
