Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 17.821","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Kosher food\" means food prepared and served in conformity with orthodox Jewish religious requirements.\n(2) \"Label\" means a display of written, printed, or graphic matter on the immediate article or container of any food product.\n(3) \"Person\" includes an individual, corporation, or association.\n(4) \"Restaurant\" means a place where food is sold for on-premises consumption.\n(5) \"Retail store\" means any retail grocery store, delicatessen, butcher shop, or other place where food is sold for off-premises consumption.\n(6) \"Sell\" means to offer for sale, expose for sale, have in possession for sale, convey, exchange, barter, or trade.\nAdded by Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 117, Sec. 8(a), eff.
