Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 17.901","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Performing musical group\" means a vocal or instrumental group seeking to engage in a live musical performance.\n(2) \"Recording group\" means a vocal or instrumental group of which one or more members:\n(A) has released a sound recording under that group's name for commercial purposes; and\n(B) has a legal right to use or operate under the group's name without abandoning the name or affiliation with the group.\n(3) \"Sound recording\" means musical, spoken, or other sounds recorded on a tangible medium, including a disc, tape, or phonograph record.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 595 (H.B. 54), Sec. 1, eff.
