Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 302.102","heading":"FILING OF REGISTRATION STATEMENT; PUBLIC INFORMATION.","body":"(a) To obtain a registration certificate, a seller must file with the secretary of state a registration statement that:\n(1) is in the form prescribed by the secretary of state;\n(2) contains the information required by Subchapter D;\n(3) is verified by each principal of the seller; and\n(4) specifies the date and location of verification.\n(b) Information included in or attached to a registration statement is public information.\n(c) In this section, \"principal\" means an owner, an executive officer of a corporation, a general partner of a partnership, a sole proprietor, a trustee of a trust, or another individual with similar supervisory functions with respect to any person.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 885 (H.B. 2278), Sec. 2.01, eff.
