Business \u0026 Commerce Code § 671.052","heading":"BOARD TERMS; VACANCY.","body":"(a) Board members serve staggered two-year terms, with the terms of five members expiring February 1 of each odd-numbered year and the terms of six members expiring February 1 of each even-numbered year.\n(b) A vacancy that occurs more than 60 days before the expiration date of a term shall be promptly filled for the unexpired term by the appointment of a member who has the same qualifications as the member creating the vacancy.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 885 (H.B. 2278), Sec. 2.01, eff.
