Business Organizations Code § 153.002","heading":"CONSTRUCTION.","body":"(a) This chapter and the other limited partnership provisions shall be applied and construed to effect its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to limited partnerships among states that have similar laws.\n(b) The rule that a statute in derogation of the common law is to be strictly construed does not apply to this chapter and the other limited partnership provisions.\nActs 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 182, Sec. 1, eff.
