Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 171.050","heading":"DEPOSITIONS.","body":"(a) The arbitrators may authorize a deposition:\n(1) for use as evidence to be taken of a witness who cannot be required by subpoena to appear before the arbitrators or who is unable to attend the hearing; or\n(2) for discovery or evidentiary purposes to be taken of an adverse witness.\n(b) A deposition under this section shall be taken in the manner provided by law for a deposition in a civil action pending in a district court.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 5.01, eff.
