Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 172.207","heading":"STAY OF ARBITRATION AND RESORT TO OTHER PROCEEDINGS.","body":"(a) The agreement of the parties to submit a dispute to conciliation is an agreement of the parties to stay a judicial proceeding or arbitration from the beginning of conciliation until the termination of conciliation.\n(b) Each applicable limitation period, including a period of prescription, is tolled or extended on the beginning of a conciliation under this chapter for each party to the conciliation until the 10th day following the date of termination of the conciliation.\n(c) For purposes of this section, conciliation begins when a party requests conciliation of a dispute and each other party agrees to participate in the conciliation.\nAdded by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 109, Sec. 1, eff.
