Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 34.071","heading":"DUTIES OF EXECUTING OFFICER.","body":"An officer receiving a writ of execution does not have a duty to:\n(1) search for property belonging to the judgment debtor;\n(2) determine whether property belongs to a judgment debtor;\n(3) determine whether property belonging to the judgment debtor is exempt property that is not subject to levy;\n(4) determine the priority of liens asserted against property subject to execution; or\n(5) make multiple levies for cash or multiple levies at the same location.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 421 (S.B. 1269), Sec. 5, eff.
