Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 36A.002","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Foreign country\" means a government other than:\n(A) the United States;\n(B) a state, district, commonwealth, territory, or insular possession of the United States; or\n(C) any other government with respect to which the decision in this state as to whether to recognize a judgment of that government's court is initially subject to determination under Section 1, Article IV, United States Constitution (the full faith and credit clause).\n(2) \"Foreign-country judgment\" means a judgment of a court of a foreign country.\nAdded by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 390 (S.B. 944), Sec. 1, eff.
