Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 72.004","heading":"OFFSET FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES PAID.","body":"(a) The owner or operator or his liability insurance carrier is entitled to an offset against any award made to the guest on a liability claim in an amount equal to the amount paid by the owner, operator, or insurance carrier for medical expenses of the guest.\n(b) This section does not authorize a direct action against a liability insurance carrier.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 959, Sec. 1, eff.
