Civil Practice and Remedies Code § 98A.003","heading":"DAMAGES.","body":"(a) A claimant who prevails in a suit under this chapter shall be awarded:\n(1) actual damages, including damages for mental anguish even if an injury other than mental anguish is not shown;\n(2) court costs; and\n(3) reasonable attorney's fees.\n(b) In addition to an award under Subsection (a), a claimant who prevails in a suit under this chapter may recover exemplary damages.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 187 (S.B. 94), Sec. 1, eff.
