Education Code § 1001.209","heading":"BOND REQUIREMENTS: DRIVING SAFETY PROVIDER.","body":"(a) Before a license may be issued to a driving safety provider, the provider must provide a corporate surety bond in the amount of $10,000.\n(b) A bond issued under Subsection (a) must be:\n(1) issued by a company authorized to do business in this state;\n(2) payable to the department to be used:\n(A) for payment of a refund due a student of the provider's approved driving safety courses;\n(B) to cover the payment of unpaid fees or penalties assessed by the executive director or the commission; or\n(C) to recover any cost associated with providing course completion certificate numbers, including the cancellation of certificate numbers;\n(3) conditioned on the compliance of the provider and its officers, agents, and employees with this chapter and rules adopted under this chapter; and\n(4) issued for a period corresponding to the term of the license.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 6.012(a), eff.
