Education Code § 1001.554","heading":"GENERAL CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person violates this chapter.\n(b) An offense under this section is punishable by:\n(1) a fine of not less than $100 or more than $20,000;\n(2) confinement in the county jail for a term not to exceed six months; or\n(3) both the fine and confinement.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 6.012(a), eff.
