Education Code § 11.157","heading":"CONTRACTS FOR EDUCATIONAL SERVICES.","body":"(a) The board of trustees of an independent school district may contract with a public or private entity for that entity to provide educational services for the district.\n(b) A school district under contract with an open-enrollment charter school to jointly operate a campus or campus program during the 2017-2018 school year and under any renewal of that contract during the 2018-2019 school year is eligible to receive funding under former Section 42.2511 for each student or the portion of each student's school day under the direction of the open-enrollment charter school. Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, a school district is eligible to receive funding under Section 48.252 on the renewal of a contract described by this section. The commissioner may adopt rules to determine the portion of funding a school district is entitled to under this subsection.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
