Education Code § 21.0033","heading":"TEACHER CERTIFICATION INCENTIVE.","body":"For expiration of this section, see Subsection (b).\n(a) From money appropriated or otherwise available for the purpose, the agency shall provide to each school district a one-time payment of $1,000 for each classroom teacher employed by the district who:\n(1) was hired for the 2022-2023 or 2023-2024 school year as a first-year teacher;\n(2) was uncertified on January 1, 2025;\n(3) earned a standard certificate under Subchapter B by the end of the 2026-2027 school year; and\n(4) was continuously employed by the district since the school year described by Subdivision (1).\n(b) This section expires September 1, 2028.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1065 (H.B. 2), Sec. 2.04, eff.
