Education Code § 21.602","heading":"ESTABLISHMENT OF PROGRAM.","body":"The agency shall establish a program to:\n(1) assist persons in obtaining certification in this state as elementary or secondary school teachers or educational aides; and\n(2) facilitate the employment of those persons by school districts in this state that:\n(A) receive grants under 20 U.S.C. Section 6311 et seq. and its subsequent amendments on the basis of having in the district concentrations of children who are educationally disadvantaged; and\n(B) have a shortage of:\n(i) qualified teachers, particularly science, mathematics, computer science, or engineering teachers; or\n(ii) educational aides.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 808, Sec. 1, eff.
