Education Code § 21.610","heading":"GRANTS TO FACILITATE PLACEMENT.","body":"(a) The agency may enter into an agreement as prescribed by Subsection (b) with a school district described by Section 21.602(2) that first employs as a full-time elementary or secondary school teacher or educational aide after certification a person participating in the program.\n(b) An agreement under this section must provide that:\n(1) the school district agrees to employ the person full-time for at least two school years at a specified salary in a district school that:\n(A) serves a concentration of children who are educationally disadvantaged; and\n(B) has an exceptional need for teachers or educational aides, as applicable; and\n(2) the state shall pay the district for that person $5,000 each year for not more than two years.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 808, Sec. 1, eff.
