Education Code § 22A.154","heading":"REPORTING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.","body":"(a) In this section, \"law enforcement agency\" means:\n(1) the Department of Public Safety;\n(2) the police department of a municipality;\n(3) the sheriff's office of a county; or\n(4) a constable's office of a county.\n(b) The agency shall refer to an appropriate law enforcement agency any allegation of misconduct that results in the inclusion of a person in the registry that has not already been referred to a law enforcement agency.\n(c) The agency shall refer any allegation of misconduct to an appropriate law enforcement agency if the agency believes the allegation includes evidence of criminal conduct.\n(d) The agency shall maintain a record of each allegation of misconduct referred to a law enforcement agency under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1138 (S.B. 571), Sec. 1.18, eff.
