Education Code § 25.090","heading":"ATTENDANCE OFFICER NOT SELECTED.","body":"(a) In those counties and independent school districts where an attendance officer has not been selected, the duties of attendance officer shall be performed by the school superintendents and peace officers of the counties and districts.\n(b) If the governing body of an open-enrollment charter school has not selected an attendance officer, the duties of attendance officer shall be performed by the peace officers of the county in which the school is located.\n(c) Additional compensation may not be paid for services performed under this section.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
