Education Code § 26.0025","heading":"PARENTAL RIGHTS HANDBOOK.","body":"Text of section as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 965 (S.B. 204), Sec. 2\nFor text of section as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1125 (S.B. 12), Sec. 12, see other Sec. 26.0025.\n(a) The agency shall create and maintain a handbook that explains all rights of a parent regarding the education of the parent's child, including a student's rights that the parent may enforce on the student's behalf.\n(b) The handbook must be:\n(1) written in plain language;\n(2) updated on an annual basis to reflect any relevant changes in applicable law or agency guidance; and\n(3) made publicly available in a searchable format on the agency's Internet website.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 965 (S.B. 204), Sec. 2, eff.
