Education Code § 26.004","heading":"ACCESS TO STUDENT RECORDS.","body":"(a) In this section, \"intervention strategy\" means a strategy in a multi-tiered system of supports that is above the level of intervention generally used in that system with all children. The term includes response to intervention and other early intervening strategies.\n(b) A parent is entitled to access to all written records of a school district concerning the parent's child, including:\n(1) attendance records;\n(2) test scores;\n(3) grades;\n(4) disciplinary records;\n(5) counseling records;\n(6) psychological records;\n(7) applications for admission;\n(8) medical records in accordance with Section 38.0095, including health and immunization information;\n(9) teacher and school counselor evaluations;\n(10) reports of behavioral patterns;\n(11) records relating to assistance provided for learning difficulties, including information collected regarding any intervention strategies used with the child; and\nText of subdivision as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1125 (S.B. 12), Sec. 13\n(12) records relating to library materials checked out by the child from a school library\nText of subdivision as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1126 (S.B. 13), Sec. 1\n(12) records relating to school library materials the child obtains from a school library.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
