Education Code § 29.052","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Emergent bilingual student\" means a student whose primary language is other than English and whose English language skills are such that the student has difficulty performing ordinary classwork in English.\n(2) \"Parent\" includes a legal guardian of a student.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
