Education Code § 29.367","heading":"SPECIAL EDUCATION NOTICE.","body":"(a) A certified educational assistance organization shall post on the Internet website established and maintained for the program and provide to each parent who submits an application for the program a notice that:\n(1) states that a private school is not subject to federal and state laws regarding the provision of educational services to a child with a disability in the same manner as a school district or open-enrollment charter school; and\n(2) provides information regarding rights to which a child with a disability is entitled under federal and state law if the child attends a school district or open-enrollment charter school, including:\n(A) rights provided under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1400 et seq.); and\n(B) rights provided under Subchapter A.\n(b) A private school in which a child with a disability who is a participating child enrolls shall provide to the participating parent a copy of the notice required under Subsection (a).\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 2 (S.B. 2), Sec. 2, eff.
