Education Code § 31.0751","heading":"OPEN EDUCATION RESOURCE INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIAL TRANSITION PLAN.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (c), to qualify for additional state aid under Section 48.308 the board of trustees of a school district must adopt an open education resource instructional material transition plan to assist classroom teachers in the district who will be using an open education resource instructional material in a specific subject or grade level for which the teacher has not previously used an open education resource instructional material.\n(b) A plan adopted under this section must ensure that open education resource instructional materials are used in a manner that maintains the instructional flexibility of a classroom teacher to address the needs of each student.\n(c) A school district that participates in the program developed and maintained by the agency under Section 31.0752 is not required to adopt a transition plan under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 818 (H.B. 1605), Sec. 38, eff.
