Education Code § 33.0815","heading":"CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENT CLUBS.","body":"(a) Subject to Subsection (b), a school district or open-enrollment charter school may authorize or sponsor a student club.\n(b) A school district or open-enrollment charter school may not authorize or sponsor a student club based on sexual orientation or gender identity.\n(c) A school district or open-enrollment charter school must require the written consent of the parent of or person standing in parental relation to a student enrolled in the district or school before the student may participate in a student club authorized or sponsored under Subsection (a) at the district or school.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1125 (S.B. 12), Sec. 27, eff.
