Education Code § 33.252","heading":"EXPANDED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.","body":"(a) Expanded learning opportunities may be provided during:\n(1) an extended school day;\n(2) an extended school year; or\n(3) structured learning programs outside of the regular school day, including before- and after-school programs and summer programs.\n(b) Expanded learning opportunities may be provided by offering:\n(1) rigorous coursework;\n(2) mentoring;\n(3) tutoring;\n(4) physical activity;\n(5) academic support; or\n(6) educational enrichment in one or more subjects, including fine arts, civic engagement, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 531 (S.B. 503), Sec. 1, eff.
