Education Code § 34.001","heading":"PURCHASE OF MOTOR VEHICLES.","body":"(a) A school district may purchase school motor vehicles through the comptroller or through competitive bidding under Subchapter B, Chapter 44.\n(b) The comptroller may adopt rules as necessary to implement Subsection (a). Before adopting a rule under this subsection, the comptroller must conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed rule regardless of whether the requirements of Section 2001.029(b), Government Code, are met.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
