Education Code § 37.0818","heading":"PRIVATE SCHOOL PEACE OFFICERS.","body":"(a) This section applies only to a private school that has an enrollment of at least 1,500 students.\n(b) The governing body of a private school to which this section applies may commission peace officers to enforce state and local law on a campus of the school.\n(c) A peace officer commissioned by a private school under this section must meet all minimum standards for peace officers established by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 624 (H.B. 4372), Sec. 1, eff.
