Education Code § 37.114","heading":"BEST PRACTICES FOR EMERGENCY SCHOOL DRILLS AND EXERCISES; MANDATORY SCHOOL DRILLS.","body":"The commissioner, in consultation with the Texas School Safety Center and the state fire marshal, shall adopt rules:\n(1) providing best practices for conducting emergency school drills and exercises, including definitions for relevant terms; and\n(2) designating the number and type of mandatory school drills to be conducted each semester of the school year, not to exceed a total of eight drills.\nAdded by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 464 (S.B. 11), Sec. 13, eff.
