Education Code § 37.141","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Child\" means a person who is:\n(A) a student; and\n(B) at least 10 years of age and younger than 18 years of age.\n(2) \"School offense\" means an offense committed by a child enrolled in a public school that is a Class C misdemeanor other than a traffic offense and that is committed on property under the control and jurisdiction of a school district.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1407 (S.B. 393), Sec. 12, eff.
