Education Code § 37.222","heading":"RESOURCES ON SAFE FIREARM STORAGE.","body":"(a) The center, in collaboration with the Department of Public Safety, shall provide to each school district and open-enrollment charter school information and other resources regarding the safe storage of firearms for distribution by the district or school under Subsection (b), including information on:\n(1) the offense under Section 46.13, Penal Code; and\n(2) ways in which parents and guardians can effectively prevent children from accessing firearms.\n(b) At least three times each school year, each school district and open-enrollment charter school shall provide the information and other resources described under Subsection (a) to the parent or guardian of each student enrolled in the district or school.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 896 (H.B. 3), Sec. 19, eff.
