Education Code § 39A.151","heading":"SOLICITATION OF PROPOSALS FOR ALTERNATIVE MANAGEMENT.","body":"(a) If the commissioner orders alternative management of a campus under Section 39A.107, the commissioner shall solicit proposals from qualified nonprofit entities to assume management of the campus or appoint a school district as provided by Subsection (b). The commissioner may solicit proposals from qualified for-profit entities if a nonprofit entity has not responded to the commissioner's request for proposals.\n(b) The commissioner may appoint a school district to assume management of the campus if the district:\n(1) is not the district in which the campus is located; and\n(2) is located within the boundaries of the same regional education service center as the campus.\n(c) If a school district is appointed under Subsection (b), the district shall assume management of the campus in the same manner as a qualified entity or in accordance with commissioner rule.\n(d) The commissioner may annually solicit proposals under this section for the alternative management of a campus. The commissioner shall notify a qualified entity that has been approved as a provider under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 324 (S.B. 1488), Sec. 21.001, eff.
