Education Code § 39A.202","heading":"BOARD OF MANAGERS OF SCHOOL DISTRICT.","body":"(a) Notwithstanding Section 11.151(b) or 11.1511(a) or any other provision of this code, if the commissioner appoints a board of managers to govern a school district:\n(1) the powers of the board of trustees of the district are suspended for the period of the appointment; and\n(2) the commissioner shall appoint a district superintendent.\n(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, a board of managers appointed to govern a school district may amend the budget of the district.\n(c) This chapter applies to a school district governed by a board of managers in the same manner that this chapter applies to any other district.\nAdded by Acts 2017, 85th Leg., R.S., Ch. 324 (S.B. 1488), Sec. 21.001, eff.
