Education Code § 45.161","heading":"EMINENT DOMAIN.","body":"For the purpose of carrying out any power conferred by this subchapter, an authority may acquire the fee simple title to land and other property and easements by condemnation in the manner provided by Chapter 21, Property Code. An authority is a municipal corporation within the meaning of Section 21.021(c), Property Code. The amount of and character or interest in land, other property, and easements to be acquired shall be determined by the board of directors.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
