Education Code § 51.3541","heading":"RESPONSIBILITY OF PRESIDENT OR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER.","body":"(a) In this section, \"governing board\" and \"institution of higher education\" have the meanings assigned by Section 61.003.\n(b) The president or chief executive officer of an institution of higher education shall conduct annual evaluations for individuals who hold the positions of vice president, provost, dean, or a similar leadership position that oversees curriculum or student affairs for the institution and report to the institution's governing board regarding any decision to remove an individual from a position described by this subsection.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1128 (S.B. 37), Sec. 2.02, eff.
