Education Code § 51.453","heading":"TEXTBOOK ASSISTANCE INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS.","body":"To the extent practicable, an institution of higher education shall make reasonable efforts to disseminate to its students information regarding:\n(1) available institutional programs for renting textbooks or for purchasing used textbooks;\n(2) available institutional guaranteed textbook buyback programs;\n(3) available institutional programs for alternative delivery of textbook content;\n(4) the availability of courses and sections of courses that require or recommend only open educational resources; and\n(5) other available institutional textbook cost-savings strategies.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 213 (H.B. 33), Sec. 1, eff.
