Education Code § 56.034","heading":"GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING ELIGIBILITY AND AWARDING GRANTS.","body":"(a) The governing boards of institutions of higher education shall establish guidelines to determine eligibility for awarding Texas Public Educational Grants subject to the limitations of this section.\n(b) Financial need shall be the only consideration in establishing guidelines to determine a student's eligibility for a grant except that returning students who are on scholastic probation or all students on disciplinary probation may be deemed ineligible at the governing board's discretion.\nAdded by Acts 1975, 64th Leg., p. 2323, ch. 720, Sec. 1, eff.
