Education Code § 61.862","heading":"GRANT APPLICATION CRITERIA.","body":"The commissioner of higher education and the commissioner of education, in consultation with the comptroller and the Texas Workforce Commission, shall establish application criteria for a grant under this subchapter and in making an award shall give priority to courses that:\n(1) will prepare students for high-demand, high-wage, and high-skill occupations and further postsecondary study;\n(2) may be transferred as college credit to multiple institutions of higher education; and\n(3) are developed as part of a sequence of courses that includes statewide availability of the instructional materials and training for the courses at a nominal cost to public educational institutions in this state.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 895 (H.B. 3), Sec. 63, eff.
