Education Code § 66.44","heading":"MANAGEMENT OF MINERALS OTHER THAN OIL AND GAS.","body":"The board of regents has the sole and exclusive management and control of all minerals, other than oil and gas, in lands set aside and appropriated to, or acquired by the permanent university fund. The board may sell, lease, and otherwise manage and control the minerals, other than oil and gas, in those lands as may seem best to it for the interests of the permanent university fund. The board may also explore and have explored and developed the minerals and may make any contract or contracts with any person, association of persons, firm, or corporation for the exploration, development, mining, production, disposition, and sale of the minerals in those lands.\nActs 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 3152, ch. 1024, art. 1, Sec. 1, eff.
