Education Code § 8.123","heading":"FUNDING FOR STATE INITIATIVES.","body":"(a) The legislature may appropriate money from the foundation school fund or other sources to implement initiatives identified by the legislature.\n(b) The commissioner may adopt rules governing:\n(1) the strategies, programs, projects, and regions eligible for funding under this section; and\n(2) the amount of funds that may be distributed to a regional education service center for a specific initiative.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff.
