Election Code § 172.061","heading":"CANDIDATE FOR PARTY OFFICE.","body":"(a) Except for Sections 172.058(b), 172.059(c), and 172.060(b), this subchapter applies to a candidate for county chair or precinct chair.\n(b) If a runoff candidate for county chair or precinct chair withdraws, the remaining candidate is considered to be elected and the runoff election for that office is not held.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
