Election Code § 232.044","heading":"WITHDRAWAL IN NEW ELECTION.","body":"The provisions of this code governing withdrawal of candidates in the contested election apply to the new election ordered by a court in an election contest, except that:\n(1) the district court shall set the deadline for withdrawal from the new election; and\n(2) a political party's executive committee may not make a replacement nomination if the party's nominee withdraws from the new election.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
