Election Code § 243.004","heading":"NOTICE TO CONTESTEES.","body":"(a) When a petition is filed, the secretary of state shall promptly notify each contestee of the filing and shall deliver a copy of the petition to each contestee who requests one or to an agent designated by the requesting contestee.\n(b) The secretary of state shall use the most expeditious means available for notifying each contestee.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
