Election Code § 253.154","heading":"WRITE-IN CANDIDACY.","body":"(a) A write-in candidate for judicial office or a specific-purpose committee for supporting a write-in candidate for judicial office may not knowingly accept a political contribution before the candidate files a declaration of write-in candidacy.\n(b) A person who violates this section is liable for a civil penalty not to exceed three times the amount of the political contributions accepted in violation of this section.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 763, Sec. 1, eff.
