Election Code § 31.091","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"County election officer\" means the county elections administrator in counties having that position, the county tax assessor-collector in counties in which the county clerk's election duties and functions have been transferred to the tax assessor-collector, and the county clerk in other counties.\n(2) \"Election services contract\" means a contract executed under this subchapter.\n(3) \"Contracting authority\" means the governing body of a political subdivision or the county executive committee of a political party that enters into a contract under this subchapter.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
