Election Code § 33.032","heading":"INELIGIBILITY OF CANDIDATE FOR PUBLIC OFFICE.","body":"(a) A person is ineligible to serve as a watcher in an election if the person is a candidate for a public office in an election to be held on the same day.\n(b) In this section, \"candidate\" means a person who has taken affirmative action, as described by the law regulating political funds and campaigns, for the purpose of gaining nomination or election.\nActs 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff.
